Wind Harvest Secures Fifth Patent for Original VAWT Design
Wind Harvest has been granted a patent for our innovative polygonal mast—a first in vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) design. This is Wind Harvest’s fifth patent since 2024, and with three more pending, Wind Harvest continues to rapidly accumulate IP. Thanks to the engineering team’s groundbreaking inventions, Wind Harvest will be able to collect royalty income from the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that will need our patents to make competitive and durable VAWTs.
By replacing costly pipe and flange center mast assemblies with a hexagonal mast of steel plate and internal nutbars, our team significantly reduced manufacturing and installation costs. This breakthrough makes our Wind Harvester® 4.0 turbines simpler, stronger, more durable, and much less expensive to build.
Our engineering team and partners like Jeff Willis with Northstar Wind are helping us redefine what’s possible in clean wind technology. A flat sided mast is brilliantly simple. We are proud to have pioneered and patented this solution to long-standing challenges for VAWTs.
