Evaluating Near Ground Wind Resources for Clean Energy
Do you own property where it’s windy, but tall turbines can’t be installed? In this video, Wind Harvest CEO Kevin Wolf takes us through the steps to evaluate whether a site can make use of Wind Harvester turbines. These vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs) are much shorter than traditional turbines, making use of turbulent winds closer to the ground. Wind speeds, electricity prices, and available tax credits all factor into estimating how profitable Wind Harvesters will be at a potential site.

Wind Harvest International, Inc. is a California-based renewable energy technology company, founded in 2006. The company makes, sells, and develops projects for its Wind Harvester brand of H-type turbines, the only known product designed to harvest the highly energetic, turbulent wind that blows 15-80 feet above the ground. Wind Harvest’s wholly-owned financial subsidiary Wind Harvest Pilot Project Inc. raises funds and loans it to the parent company.
