Rotor Finished. All blades on.
The team from Wanzek Construction completed the installation of the upper blades. Note the end caps on the blade tips. The edges of the caps extend over the blade and lessen the vortices that come off the blade tips (and airplane wings). This component increases the aerodynamic efficiency of the rotor. Reducing blade tip vortices is an area in H-type turbine design where we anticipate making improvements that reduce costs and increase our turbines’ energy output.

Wind Harvest International, Inc. is a California-based renewable energy technology company, founded in 2006. The company makes, sells, and develops projects for its Wind Harvester brand of H-type turbines, the only known product designed to harvest the highly energetic, turbulent wind that blows 15-80 feet above the ground. Wind Harvest’s wholly-owned financial subsidiary Wind Harvest Pilot Project Inc. raises funds and loans it to the parent company.
